MEET THE TEAM
Maven Radiology is led by a founding team with more than 60 years of collective experience in diagnostic imaging, healthcare delivery, and regulated clinical environments.
Founders Roy Craven, Emma Cumberbatch, Jason Massa, and Lisa Massa are all established healthcare entrepreneurs, each with a proven track record operating diagnostic imaging services at scale through accredited NHS and private-sector partnerships, including Scan Assure and Radiology Management Solutions (RMS).
That experience underpins Maven Radiology’s approach to private healthcare, combining clinical credibility, operational discipline, and commercial understanding in equal measure.
Jason Massa
Founder
Jason Massa is a senior medical imaging specialist with frontline experience across multiple NHS Trusts and private healthcare organisations. In 2013, he founded RMS, an accredited NHS partner delivering in-sourced radiology services nationwide.
Jason combines clinical insight with commercial leadership, helping healthcare providers across the public and private sectors manage capacity, improve access, and deliver patient-focused diagnostic services at scale.
His work is grounded in practical problem-solving and clinically informed innovation.
Roy Craven
Founder
Roy Craven holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Medical Imaging and brings almost 30 years of experience across emergency care, radiography, and diagnostic leadership.
A former Combat Medical Technician with the Royal Army Medical Corps, Roy began his career in ambulance services before retraining as a radiographer.
Today he’s an award-winning Consultant Radiographer and CEO of a leading insourced radiology provider, supporting patient care across the UK through long-standing accredited NHS partnerships and private practice.
Emma Cumberbatch
Founder
Emma Cumberbatch holds a BSc and MSc in Medical Imaging and has over 25 years’ experience as a radiographer, including extensive work across emergency and acute settings.
For the past two decades, Emma has specialised in ultrasound across hospital and community healthcare environments, spanning both public-sector and private healthcare.
She also teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and is co-founder of Scan Assure, an accredited NHS partner, contributing to the development of future clinical professionals alongside service delivery.
